Josh Temple is the host of NBC Universal’s “America’s Toughest Jobs”.
NBC Universal hired Josh because he represents the spirit of “ATJ”; his adventurous attitude, work ethic, and improvisational skills are the perfect complement to the new, hit show. His respect for the jobs and the men and women who perform these jobs everyday is immense and made it easy for him to show up to work. He considers himself very fortunate to have had the incredible experience.
Josh has hosted several shows including “Ultimate Treehouse,” and “Dude Room” for the Discovery Channel, “Backyard Nation” for TLC, and still hosts the golf show, “The Clubhouse" for RSN.
Josh recently finished a supporting role in the independent feature, “All Ages Night,” directed by Nancy Stein and has also had co-starring roles in “Will & Grace” and HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He has also been in many films you’ll never see. Currently Josh is doing voice over on the animated project, “The Bounty Killer” (and yes, he is The Bounty Killer). He also has done many commercials for television and radio, which have paid more bills than all the other stuff previously noted. So, in a way, Josh is kind of a sell out.
Josh Temple is a proud native of Merced, California in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley. And it is true: you can’t take Merced out of the boy. He graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in History. He then moved to San Francisco and worked in construction for seven years. It was in San Francisco that he saw his first improv show at Bay Area Theatre Sports. He went through the school and started performing on a regular basis. Josh credits B.A.T.S. as the reason he is still in entertainment. It’s also the reason he’s married. On a particularly fortuitous night, Josh spotted his future wife Liza in the audience. Josh had a good night.
Josh has traveled the world. He has been all over Europe, skydived in Australia, bungee jumped and river rafted in Africa. He has also played golf on some of the finest courses in the world. Currently a 3 handicap, Josh is a golf fanatic.
But most importantly, Josh Temple is a proud husband, father, son, and brother. And likes to write in the third person.
Catch Josh on America's Toughest Jobs on NBC, Mondays 9et/8ct!
